August: Heart of the Writer
Welcome to August. I sincerely look forward to diving into another new month to see where paths will lead me. This month promises to be a busy one— with my birthday (on August 17), preparing for another semester of school, and doing a bit of late-summer travel to Florida. For my literary friends, I am pleased to say I found some time and renewed energy to pick up my virtual "quill" pen again to start re-editing and some adding new material to one of my ongoing novels. After a long few years of feeling buried in work and lacking motivation, I feel renewed joy in doing so after so long. This one is also my most lengthy, as it sits at 1,032 pages. Looking at the time stamp, I realize I have been working on this book for ten years. Of course, my creative writing has since changed with the influence of time, influences from life, whether they be painful or joyous, and from further formal education, but at its core— it is still my literary "darling."
